艾滋病作为现代一种新出现的病种，其复杂多变的病情及演变仍未被中医传统理论全面系统的阐释。本文从阐述气是构成和维持人体生命活动的基本物质、气虚的病理表现、艾滋病中医证候学研究、气虚病机在艾滋病治疗中的应用多方面进行分析，认为气虚为HIV/AIDS的基础病机，在脏为脾，涉及五脏。

As an emerging disease of modern society, the condition and evolution of HIV/AIDS is very complex. It has not been perfectly elaborated by traditional Chinese medicine theory. Qi is the fundamental substance, which forms and maintains the human life activities. Based on the study done on TCM syndrome and the application of Qi insufficiency in HIV/AIDS treatment, Qi insufficiency was considered as the basis pathological manifestations of, HIV/AIDS. The main organ is spleen, involving five internal organs.
